PRR 4915, GG-1, 1961
Harrisburg-1961. Here is an original photo that I took at the Passenger Station in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on 23 August 1961. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4915, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electric built in Juniata during June of 1942 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. It's pulling a Philadelphia- and New York-bound passenger train out of the Station. ("Red Shift" slide converted to Black & White.)
